Tobias Verhaecht

Belgian painter and draughtsman of landscapes,the Tower of Babel,religious and mythological compositions,marines in the Baroque style.In 1590 he became a member of the St.Lucas guild of Antwerpen.Was teatcher of his son Willem van Haecht and Peter Paul Rubens in 1592.Was also active in Rome and Florence.Was good friends with Jan Brueghel the Elder.Work in museum:Brussel,Antwerpen,Madrid,Norwich,St.Peterburg,Los Angeles.
